At your first appointment, we focus entirely on consultation and preparation—there's no rushing. We ensure we have all the precise information needed to start your custom treatment plan.
1. Welcome & Consultation: We'll start by discussing your goals for function and aesthetics. We'll answer any questions you have about our services, including the difference between the Standard Pro and Signature Aesthetic options.
2. Comprehensive Exam: We will perform a thorough visual and tactile examination of your mouth, gums, and any remaining teeth.
3. Initial Impressions: This is the most important step! We take highly accurate preliminary impressions of your mouth. These will be used to create custom trays for the next appointment, ensuring maximum clinical precision for the final fit of your dentures.
4. Financial Review: We will review your finalized Service Menu and payment options, including your 50% deposit (if applicable) and CareCredit application, before proceeding.
What to bring: If you currently wear dentures, please bring them with you (remove any denture glue). If you have been referred by a dentist, please bring any relevant records or instructions they provided.
The first appointment is usually focused on gathering information and creating the custom molds, ensuring the rest of your process goes as smoothly as possible.
As a specialist, we operate on an out-of-network basis and do not file claims directly. However, we are happy to provide you with all the necessary documentation, including the ADA dental codes and detailed receipts, so you can easily submit them to your insurance provider for direct reimbursement. We are committed to helping you maximize your benefits.
A reline is needed when the gums and jawbone naturally change shape, causing your denture to fit differently. You'll know it's time when you feel looseness, instability (slipping or clicking), or pain that requires you to use extra adhesive. Getting a reline promptly restores the original precision fit, which is crucial for comfort, chewing ability, and protecting your gum tissue
Denture Cleaning: A Simple 4-Step Guide
Proper daily cleaning is essential for the longevity of your Standard Pro or Signature Aesthetic denture, and for maintaining oral health.
Step 1: Rinse & Protect
• Rinse: After eating, remove and rinse your dentures under cool running water to remove loose food particles.
• Safety: Always clean your dentures over a basin of water or a folded towel. This prevents damage if you accidentally drop them.
Step 2: Brush Daily
Use the Right Tools: Use a soft-bristled denture brush (not a regular toothbrush, which can scratch the surface) or a soft hand brush
Use the Right Cleanser: Clean all surfaces (especially the surfaces that touch your gums) using a non-abrasive cleaner, such as mild soap or unscented dish soap.
Avoid: Never use abrasive household cleaners, bleach, or regular toothpaste, as these can scratch the acrylic surface, creating harbors for bacteria and causing discoloration
Step 3: Soak Every Night
• Soak: Dentures need moisture to retain their shape. Place your dentures in a container filled with clean, warm water every night.
• Never Use Hot Water: Do not use hot or boiling water, as it can warp the acrylic base and ruin the precision fit.
Avoid: Never use abrasive household cleaners, bleach, or regular toothpaste, as these can scratch the acrylic surface, creating harbors for bacteria and causing discoloration.
Step 4: Oral Health
• Clean Your Mouth: Before putting your dentures back in, gently brush your gums, tongue, and the roof of your mouth with a soft toothbrush. This removes plaque and stimulates circulation.
• Check Condition: If you notice any discomfort, chips, or changes in fit, contact us immediately. Prompt repairs (covered under our Maintenance Services) are crucial to maintaining the Clinical Precision of your prosthetic.
